The Unveiling of the Paisley

Last Thursday I attended the exhibition of Infinity by Cassandra Scott-Finn in Chippendale for Art Month Sydney. Her artwork was a semi-transparent structure of radiant mirrored acrylic, that continually changed colour and incorporated both the viewer and environment into a mesmerising kaleidoscope. It was an interactive sculpture which you could enter and become a voyeur of the outside world through rose-tinted lenses.

Leather jacket from some random Asian store
Thrifted knit jumper
Jack London silk tie
Thrifted shirt
Ksubi jeans
Doc Marten boots
For such a cool event, I thought I would try my hand at wearing print from head to toe. The print in question? Paisley. You can never go wrong with paisley. Even when you have three different prints of paisley, layered one on top of the other. Paisley jeans, top and silk tie. Over the top? I think not.

Shedding layers as we go... I know, I know. I was one picture away from being topless and scaring away my whole audience base of two readers (thanks mum and dad for reading my stuff <3). Luckily though, those X-rated images will remain in my hard drive and life's greatest mystery of what I look like underneath my garments will forever be a secret. Unless, by some chance, the contents of my computer get stolen by some hackers, preferably by Anonymous and then leaked onto the Internet. Then I'll soar to stardom and relish in my fifteen minutes of fame. Muahahaha...

But in all seriousness, that probably won't happen seeing as me topless is not going to have the same effect that Taylor Lautner gets. Quite the opposite in fact. And lets spare a moment to consider what was going through the photographers mind while I continued to undress. I would like to think that she was enthralled and captivated in a trance like state, unable to stop documenting such fine form. Though she has since deleted me off Facebook, I don't know why. I kid I kid. But no really, she can't even look at me:

  1. That knitted jumper is so charming! You look so very dapper :) I love how stuble and muted the paisley patterns are, they're not too overwhelming but still maintain character. Hahaha, oh goodness, your writing is so amusing. She's not looking because she's concentrating on rocking her outfit!
